experience valuable. reading about the atrocities is one thing, viewing a mountain of hair shaven from thousands of murdered people. it really brought home the horror of it all. it was nice that we had the opportunity to pay our respects at the memorial in birkenau and light candles in memory of all the men, woman and children murdered there. visiting concentration camps reminds us all of the vital importance of tolerance and respect towards others, as well as the real danger presented by extremism. the work you are doing is highly commendable and i wish you every success in continuing tv, books and gcse history, but nothing prepared me for the vast scale and industrialization of what was a death factory of a monumental scale. one cannot truly appreciate what happened here properly without actually visiting, without seeing the shaved hair of 40,00 victims piled high, seeing the flimsy huts and freezing conditions, the cattle carts used to transport the victims, the end of the railway line that led to nowhere and the actual chambers and furnaces. to see how so many jews were murdered here within 40 minutes of stepping off the wagons and to listen to the stories of the precious few survivors is something we should all try and experience. i hope my memory of today lasts a lifetime. thank you. please keep up the good work so society cannot forget. for my part i will not forget. simon simon rose the trip was superb and gave me a great insight into the scale of the atrocities that occured in poland and across europe during the war. the whole day from start to finish was extremely well organised and we were made to feel very welcome by all involved. in short this trip was th emost informative and well put together that i have ever been on. d rutland of plumstead police when i visited auschwitz birkenau in march 2016 i stood peering into the water of a lake into which the ashes of people murdered and cremated there had been dumped. it reminded me of the comment of a police investigator following the genocide in the former yugoslavia. standing in a muddy hole he said to his colleague, “we are standing in human soup”. i studied that conflict and the genocide in rwanda as part of my ma course at king’s college london. the sad fact is that the nations of the world have done little to prevent genocide since ww2 and we must all do more because inevitably if we do nothing history will repeat itself. robyn murdo-smith thank you chuni for an extremely well organised tour. you looked after everyones needs and requirements throughout the tour. the two guides supplied for auschwicz 1 & 2 respectively were very informative, friendly and responsive to any questions asked of them. chuni, you also gave invaluable input throughout. your appropriate use of humour with the group helped to display what a kind, genuine and committed soul you are, and made what could be difficult situations more easily and acceptably explained. the flight was only just over 2 hours. the motel was ideally situated 10 minutes from krakow airport, and about 30 minutes from auschwicz. this is a truly life enhancing, and possibly life changing experience. words cannot fully explain the effect of this tour can have on our human psyche. to actually walk in the footsteps taken by so many thousands of souls to their end is moving beyond words. again, no picture, book or tv documentary can prepare one for the massive scale of the birke geoff davies i have just returned from kahan travel's krakow/auschwitz tour. it was brilliantly organised and amazing that so much was packed into just one (albeit lengthy) day. i did not need to spend any money everything was provided. the coach was very modern and our guide of the camps was truly excellent. so much food was provided that i couldn't finish it! the day was exhausting and you need to be reasonably fit since there is a lot of walking. but if you are contemplating a trip of this nature and it is because of the significance of the place. chuni got every aspect of the visit right. from his warm welcome at stanstead airport to his personal farewell on the flight back to london. we were lucky. we
